Family Peer Support Services

Family Peer Support Services

Family Peer Support Services provide support through a family Peer Advocate. This is a parent or caregiver of a child with a mental health diagnosis. They link families with community resources while teaching them how to successfully navigate the service delivery system.  The Family Peer Advocate empowers the family to advocate for their child/family through role modeling, trainings and support.

Family Peer Advocacy: a service that provides support for the caregiver of a child who has a mental health diagnosis. Support is  provided in a number of ways including supporting families at school meetings, in court and Family Round Tables.

Respite Services: aid in getting relief and support from stressors of raising a child with a mental health diagnosis.

Family Round Tables: for parents, grandparents, guardians, foster parents, adoptive parents and caregivers of  children with a mental illness. Family Round Tables are designed to provide a safe environment for caregivers to share their challenges with others who have experienced similar struggles and build skills and  relationships to learn together to manage day-to-day responsibilities and thrive.
