  1. Animal Rabies Immunization Clinic

    August 24, 2017, 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM

    The Chautauqua County Department of Health and Human Services and Town of Ellington are sponsoring this rabies clinic. Vaccinations will be provided free of charge to all dogs, cats and domesticated ferrets three months of age and older. All pets must be on a leash or in a cage and pet owners should bring rabies vaccination records for each animal that will be receiving a shot to ensure proper and effective vaccination. Dr. Mary Fales will be the attending veterinarian.

  1. 2017 Celebrate Chautauqua Lake Rally

    The Chautauqua County Department of Planning and Economic Development and the Chautauqua Lake and Watershed Management Alliance are hosting this annual event that invites the public to learn about all of the good things happening on Chautauqua Lake. The rally will feature a presentation from Chautauqua County Watershed Coordinator Dave McCoy as he discusses the many partners who are working to improve the lake, efforts to bring local, state and federal investment into the watershed, current scientific initiatives, and how the lake is viewed nationally. There will also be discussions on lake maintenance, Camp Onyahsa's history and plans for expansion, wastewater treatment and sewer district expansion projects, and the Chautauqua Watershed Conservancy's Tributary and Wetlands Preserve System. Numerous lake-based organizations will also have exhibits to discuss their initiatives and answer questions. The rally is free and open to the public and breakfast will be provided to attendees.
